ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Rhonwen, a 21-year-old photographer from North Devon. Growing up surrounded by a community that cherishes the ocean and nature, I have spent countless hours immersed in or around the water, exploring its beautiful yet delicate ecosystem. This passion led me to study biology and photography in college and then Marine and Natural History Photography at university. During my studies, I learnt to blend my love for the ocean and wildlife with my stunning and artistic photographic skills.
I am a qualified Padi Rescue diver with three years of diving experience in a range of different climates. So far, I have been lucky enough to dive all around the world, from my home in Cornwall and Devon to Zanzibar, Costa Rica, Panama and Egypt. My time at university allowed me to combine photography with my love for protecting our world's oceans, and I now have 3 years of experience in underwater photography.

My underwater imagery aims to capture the beauty and fragility of marine environments all around the world. Each of my photographs tells a story, inviting viewers to witness the vibrant life beneath the waves and the diverse creatures that inhabit our oceans. My goal is to inspire appreciation and empathy for these species and ecosystems through bold, colourful and beautifully lit images.

I am currently working on my latest project, which will reveal the often-overlooked lives of anemones on the coast of Cornwall. Usually mistaken for plants due to their colourful and flower-like appearance, these beautifully intricate and detailed predatory marine invertebrates are far more interesting than they may seem, especially when you look at them closely.
